Creating a Listing

Registration

To Create a listing on Getting to Know Dogs (canineanimalinfo.com), you must first create an account. To create an account, follow the steps below –

  1. Select register from the login menu on the right side of the main menu.
  2. Fill out the registration form and hit submit.
  3. Check your inbox for the email you supplied for a validation email.
  4. Click on the validation link in the email to activate your account.
  5. Check your spam folder if you don’t receive the email.
  6. Also, could you confirm that the email address you used was correct? If you made an error in the email address, you should fill in the registration form again with the correct address and re-submit.

Login

Once you have successfully validated your account, you will be redirected to the login page, where you can enter the login credentials you just created. This will redirect you to your account page, where you can optionally add more details about yourself.

Create Listing

  1. Scroll down the page until you see the section titled My Dog Directory Listings > Add Listing
  2. Select the type of listing you wish to create from the dropdown list.
  3. Once you select the listing you wish to create, you will be redirected to the form where you can upload the required information, including images, before submitting the listing.
  4. A ‘preview listing’ function allows you to view the listing before hitting the submit button.
  5. Submit listing.

PLEASE NOTE: Listings will not appear until they have been approved by admin to ensure they are appropriate for the site. Inappropriate content will be rejected, and the payment will be reversed in the case of paid listings.

Editing a Listing

To edit a listing after you submit it, please return to your account dashboard.

Another section will now appear under My Dog Directory Listings, titled My Listings, with a dropdown showing the types of listings you have created.

  1. Select the type of listing that you wish to edit.
  2. You will be directed to your profile page, where your listing items will appear at the bottom.
  3. Click on the three-dot menu in the bottom right-hand corner. 
  4. This will launch the Edit menu, where you can delete or edit your listing. 
  5. Clicking on the Edit link will relaunch the listing form, allowing you to edit the desired areas before re-submitting the listing.
