Rare Dog Breeds
Rare dog breeds are typically those that have fallen out of popularity and may not be well-suited for modern living. Many of these breeds were originally developed for specific needs and purposes that are no longer relevant today. Often, the traits for which they were bred make them less suitable as pets. As a result, their gene pool has diminished, putting the breed at risk of extinction.
Images in our dog profiles and galleries are exclusively the work of professional pet photographer Diana Andersen, Animalinfo Publications.
